Clue # 9

Now gather all of your suspects together in the drawing room. The culprit is about to be revealed.

Sew all suspects together into a giant nine patch.

Suspect A Suspect C Suspect A
Suspect C Suspect B Suspect C
Suspect A Suspect C Suspect A

Suspect C is always positioned with the medium to the outside. Suspect A must always have a dark square positioned as lookout in the outside corner.

This is our guilty- quilty party- a single finished square measures 28 3/16 " and makes 1/4 of your square quilt. You can make as many of these squares as you like making your quilt as big as you like.

You could also hang the offender as a single square, just as he is, as a wall hanging - or make a miniature criminal ( half of the pattern size). The finished square is 15 3/4 " - the pattern works well for either.

This pattern is called Thrifty Stars.
