Following the Drunkard's Path
It's time to forget about curved
seams, templates and too many pins and follow a different Drunkard's
Path. By using two simple shapes, a circle and a square,
participants will create the basic Drunkard's Path unit block with
machine applique. Three different freezer paper techniques will be used
to make blocks in the morning session. In the afternnoon, participants
will use a design wall and the blocks constructed in the morning session
to create many different desings, both traditional and contemporary.
Maximum 20 participants. Novice to
Intermediate
Patchwork Playtime
Start with a block, dyed or paitned
fabric, batik, landscape or a gorgeous piece of cloth that you just
can't bear to cut up. That is your inspiration. Bring lots of other
fabrics to the workshop to play with. Make some patchwork to echo the
colours of your complex cloth. Put it all together and let the quilt
evolve on the design wall. This two day workshop provides the time for
both structured activities and opportunities for creative designing.
Two day workshop. Maximum 20 participants.
